This is a fun and engaging class where we get to dive into classic books together and learn about beloved, intelligent, silly, brave, and relatable characters. Embark on a journey as we bring each book to life and create fun projects to go with what we read.
We will focus on really understanding each chapter, focusing on reading comprehension to clearly understand what happens every step of the way. In this class, we will read together, followed by discussing themes, and instruction we learn from what we’re reading. This class will allow students to reflect on the books, going above and beyond in connecting with the stories through the fun ways we interact through projects and writing.
Be prepared to dive in with hands-on activities that bring meaning, understanding, and fun to each literary work. Students will identify and analyze elements of literature as they read. The books chosen can always be found at a local library or online as audiobooks. My goal is to make early literature accessible to students in whatever way is easiest for them.
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
