Day & Time: Thursday 12:00-1:10
Mentor: Jessica Anglesey
Embark on a journey as we bring each book to life. Whether we are exploring the world of overgrown insects living on an over-sized fruit, receiving survival techniques and friendship from an unlikely source, or following the exciting story of two runaways entangled in adventure and mystery. Be prepared to dive in with hands on activities, that will bring meaning, understanding, and fun to each literary work.
Students will identify and analyze elements of literature as they read James and the Giant Peach, The Sign of the Beaver, and The Mixed up files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. These books can be found at the library, and each student will need to have their own copy of the book we are reading.
