Day & Time: Wednesday 11:55-1:05
Mentor: Jessica Anglesey
Embark on a journey as we bring each book to life. Whether we lovingly root for a young girl who is always underestimated but then eventually realizes her potential, or following the fate of a boy with a bad luck curse who eventually sees the effects of kindness and friendship and the role it has in his life, or the courage and determination a young girl finds during World War 2 in this moving story of triumph against all odds. Be prepared to dive in with hands on activities that will bring meaning, understanding, and fun to each literary work.
Students will identify and analyze elements of literature as they read Out of My Mind, Holes, and The War that Saved My Life. These books can be found at the library, each student will need to have their own copy of the book we are reading.
**Potential for one more novel depending on how far we get with the other 3 books. **
All classes are full year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
