Each month, this interactive class will highlight a well-known children's author. The students will learn about story elements, compare and contrast books, and basic reading comprehension skills. The books we read and discuss will be followed by a hands-on activity or craft related to the story.

I will be reading the stories to the class in my best theatrical voice—the children do not need to know how to read. From listening to stories from various authors and literary voices, it is my goal that the children will develop a love for literature and become excited about learning to read by themselves. Some of the authors we will explore are Kevin Henkes, Mo Willems, Jan Brett, David Shannon, and Eric Carl.

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
