As we continue down the rabbit hole that is the digital age, there is nothing quite like holding a book in your hands. Even though printing has become simpler and cheaper, books are becoming rarer every day. This class aims to inspire students with the love of books by making their own!

We will spend time throughout the course discussing the various histories and cultures of bookmaking, while the majority of the class is devoted to hands-on experiences making books in a variety of styles. Students will learn tricks of the trade, tools necessary in assembling a good kit for bookbinding, as well as tools students can make on their own.

If you student loves writing, this will be a fantastic opportunity for them to design and create their own book for their stories!

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
