We will explore and engage in lessons about our American history and the development of this country. This class will cover events leading to and surrounding the American Revolution and the early 13 colonies. We will discuss the Westward Expansion, how America was involved in all the different wars, slavery, and the Civil War, Reconstruction, the civil rights movement, and everything in between leading up
to the Present Day. We will continue to learn about the communities in which we live, historical and political leaders, how to read and understand maps and understand how the government works as well. The United States has such a fantastic history, and by studying the past, students will gain an appreciation for America and a better understanding of what it means to be an American!
This class is full of great beginning topics to get your learners excited about history and learning about how things work in our communities, country, and even the world. We will work on fun projects and play fun games together; learning history has never been so fun!!
