Day & Time: Tuesday 9:00-10:10
Mentor: Jessica Anglesey
Our social studies curriculum is designed with young learners in mind! Students will be encouraged to think “outside the box” and prove their ideas through hands-on and engaging learning experiences.
The course year will be broken up into different learning units to help students understand the various class topics. We will learn about rules, laws, and what is considered fair and equal. We will talk about the United States, the government, and the importance of community helpers. We will learn to read maps and create them; we will discuss significant countries, introduce economics to understand goods and services, consumers, etc. We will also discuss holidays, American symbols, and historical figures.
This class is full of great beginning topics to get your learners excited about history and learning how things work in our communities, country, and even the world. We will work on fun projects and play fun games together; learning history has never been so fun!
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
