Day & Time: Wednesday 10:45-11:55
Mentor: Kara Diaz
Geography is the study of the Earth and its features, its inhabitants, and its phenomena. What could be more exciting than learning about the world we live in? There are so many places to explore and discover.
During this school year students will explore the fundamentals of Physical Geography (to include all landforms, forms of water, and a little about climate and weather). We will also explore the physical, social and historical aspects of the geography around the world.
Students will be involved in a lot of hands-on study that include: national flags, facts about the countries, famous people, famous landmarks, and fun facts about the country being studied.
We will also look at cultural aspects to include customs, music, art and foods.
I invite you to join us as we explore our world!
Students will need their own copy of:
Rand McNally Junior Classroom Atlas (or similar soft cover atlas to bring to class)
You can easily find different additions of this (or similar) at Amazon from $2.99 and up.
