From the creation of the solar system to climate, weather patterns, and that little pebble stuck in your shoe, the study of our planet is one of the most important branches of science today. Incorporating chemistry, biology, astronomy, oceanology, geology, and physics, this class will cover all there is to know about what makes planet Earth unique.
Through lectures, student presentations, videos, hands-on activities, and short in-class assignments, students will be introduced to such topics as:
- Birth of Universe
- Our Solar System
- Mineralogy
- Rock Types
- Earth’s Geological Features
- Earth’s Complex Systems
This class will have a few tests so students will have samples to give to their homeschool teachers. We will also have in-class assignments and short quizzes to help students practice what they are learning.
Required Materials:
- Notebook dedicated for this class
- Pen or pencil for taking notes
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
