Day & Time: Wednesday 1:15-2:25
Mentor: Stephanie Haynes
In this project-based class, students will begin by knitting simple items and move at their own pace to improve their skills. Projects include a washcloth, headband, beanie, a felted bowl, and a scarf. Knitting is a creative hobby that develops not only fine motor skills, but math skills, reading comprehension, and problem solving. Join us and learn a skill that will become a relaxing lifelong activity.
One pair of wooden knitting needles and a skein of yarn are provided for the first project, but yarn for remaining projects must be provided by the students. (This allows them to choose their preferred colors and types of yarn)
