In this class we will work on fine motor coordination skill sets and handwriting skills to enhance penmanship.  Development of good handwriting habits will follow us for life! Much of the fine motor skills needed for handwriting are also essential for use in many daily tasks during play and learning for children. Too often these foundational skills are not addressed early on and it becomes a later battle for more efficient (done in a timely manner) and more effective (legible) handwritten work.

I will be pulling from my 20 plus years’ experience and knowledge gained as a pediatric Occupational Therapist.  I have learned and seen firsthand the progression, benefits, and broken down the unique qualities of fine motor coordination skills and handwriting/penmanship in young children.

I am looking forward to a FUN time with your kids as we work on building strong fine motor and handwriting skills in this class.

I will send home examples of activities, worksheets to do, and basic explanations so that parents/guardians can follow at home with their student.
