Welcome to Magic School Bus: Zoography!
In this exciting class, we'll take a virtual journey around the world to study animals and their habitats. Zoography is the study of animals from different parts of the globe, and we'll explore this fascinating subject by combining it with geography.
Throughout the course, we'll examine the diverse animal life on every continent, including their physical characteristics, adaptations, behaviors, and ecological relationships. We'll learn about the different ecosystems that support animal life, such as rainforests, deserts, oceans, and grasslands.
As we journey around the world, we'll also learn about the cultures and geography of each region.
By the end of the course, students will have a deep appreciation for the diversity of animal life on our planet, and an understanding of the complex relationships between animals and their habitats. They will also develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
To make this adventure even more exciting, we'll use the Magic School Bus to travel to different parts of the world and meet animals up close! Our class will blend hands-on activities, experiments, and virtual experiences to deepen our understanding of zoography and geography.
Students are expected to participate in two different presentations throughout the year (one per semester). These presentations will provide an opportunity for each student to showcase their knowledge and understanding of animals, ecosystems, and/or geography.
“Seatbelts everyone!”
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
