Reading & Writing
Day & Time: Thursday 9:30-10:40
Mentor: Jamie Magda
Building reading and writing skills is an essential part of a child's learning process. Even when children aren't specifically learning reading and writing, they are constantly using these skills to learn other subjects. During this class we will be developing reading and writing skills through exploring a variety of stories and books. Students will review and practice basic handwriting skills such as letter formation, spatial relation, and pencil grip. We will also practice retelling stories, answering questions about stories and describing the major events in the story. Students will learn the difference between opinion writing and informative writing. This class will be based on the love of reading and writing and all things great in the power of a great storyline.
All classes are full year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
