Rome & Mummies, Pyramids and Moats—Oh My! Students will learn the ins and outs of both the Ancient Roman Empire as well as Ancient Egypt. We will begin the year studying Rome through age-appropriate, engaging and interactive lessons. Together, we will read about this famous time period, as well as watch and listen to stories about famous people, places and events during the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Students will also have the opportunity to apply what we’ve learned through exciting recreations and reenactment activities. During the second half of the school year, we will shift our focus to Ancient Egypt. Once again, students will enjoy learning about this famous time period in a fun and unique way. We will become mummies, build pyramids and moats and jump into history to experience what life was truly like for people living in Ancient Egypt!
