Dive into the exciting world of robotics with VEX IQ at Love of Learning! This interactive and dynamic course introduces students to essential programming, mechanical, and engineering concepts in a hands-on learning environment. Whether your student is a beginner, or eager to enhance their robotics skills, this class has something for everyone!
Using the VEX IQ Robotics Kit, students will design, build, and program robots to complete engaging challenges and navigate obstacle courses. Each class combines coding, practical building, and demonstration, fostering a well-rounded understanding of robotics.
Students Will Learn:
Critical and divergent thinking skills
Computational thinking and interactive problem-solving
The value of learning from failure and embracing a growth mindset
Confidence in applying robotics knowledge to competitive challenges
Topics Covered:
Gears and Gear Ratios
Drivetrains, Object Manipulators, and Lifting Mechanisms
Pendulums, Pulleys, and Levers
Programming with block coding and introduce students to Python
Autonomous and Driver-Controlled Robot Programs
Bumper Switches, LED Touch, and other sensors
Program Details:
Schedule: 9-week program, meeting twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Start Date: Beginning January 13th
