Sewing is Awesome! It is an excellent skill for anyone to have, and it is fun.

This class is for all levels –from beginners to those who have some experience. If you took sewing from me last year, there will be new projects for this year, and also, the opportunity to work on self-selected projects.

We will cover topics like hand sewing, machine sewing, different types of fabric and their uses, and sewing supplies and tools.

Students will need to provide their own sewing machine and the basic sewing supplies listed below. There may be additional supplies that need to be purchased during the year –such as your choice of fabric for projects. I will provide fabric for smaller projects, but your child will need to pick out their own fabric for larger projects such as Pillowcases and Tote bags for the beginner sewers.

Supply List:

1. Sewing Machine (with needles and bobbins, and at least a regular and zipper foot)

2. Thread: white is an excellent all-purpose color (Coats and Clark, and Gutterman brands are better for your machine)

3. Fabric Sewing Scissors

4. Straight pins

5. Seam ripper

6. Measuring Tape

7. Fabric for larger projects as the year goes on

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
