Story Craft: where your ideas come alive.
Developed for all levels of writers, Story Craft will guide students through bringing their ideas to life through story. From cultivating story concepts through all the elements of story writing and culminating in reflection and revising, students will create their own meaningful stories. In addition, we will take time to explore what makes writing work well for readers and what to do when the writing gets “blocked.”
Story Craft will take students on a writing journey that includes brainstorming ideas, developing settings, building characters, creating plots, exploring themes, editing their work, and completing their own stories.
Additional activities will center on building English Language Arts skills, thoughtful reflection on what makes effective writing, and positive approaches to dealing with the “blocks” part of the writing process.
Please come to class with something to write with and something to write on.
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
