Day & Time: Tuesday 9:00-10:10
Mentor: Bree Blinn
Welcome to United States Geography! Students will be introduced to U.S. Geography by learning about maps, landforms, symbols, National Landmarks and holidays (Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr, Independence Day, & Patriotic Day) It is always fun to incorporate art and drawing with our activities! After reading about each topic we will make fun “Craftivities” for the class to have a visual about what is being taught. In addition, we will also examine our different U.S. Regions and Landforms by reading and completing fun hands on art projects and maps. I really enjoy teaching this topic and I am looking forward to exploring geography with you!
We will be doing a lot of cutting and glueing, so if your child prefers to bring their own supplies, this is what they’ll need: *Glue Stick *Scissors *Crayons or Colored pencils or Twistables (whichever they prefer)
Book List (optional): National Geographic Kids Beginner's US Atlas (by: National Geographic Kids)
All classes are full year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
