Day & Time: Wednesday 1:10-2:20
Mentor: Leanne Fife
A fun year long exploration of United States Geography. Each student will have their own Interactive Notebook that they will create! This Interactive Notebook is a spiral bound notebook set up as a simple, functional system for each student to create, write, and explore physical geography, such as mountains, rivers, and the regions of the United States. Students will also learn more about the United States by learning about National Landmarks and National Holidays (Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr, Independence Day, & Patriotic Day) . It's alway fun learning about where we live! Roll up your sleeves because art and drawing will also be a part of this US Geography class!
Each student must bring a 2-subject ruled notebook so they will be able to complete their own Interactive Journal. We will be doing a lot of cutting and glueing, so if your child prefers to bring their own supplies, this is what they’ll need: *Glue Stick *Scissors *Crayons or Colored pencils or Twistables (whichever they prefer)
Book List: (optional) National Geographic Kids United States Atlas
All classes are full year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
