This class will teach music fundamentals through learning to play the ukulele. We will study different styles of music from contemporary songs to songs grandparents will know, and lots of songs in between. Singing will be encouraged, but not required.

A three-ring binder is required for this class, along with a pencil. I will provide the instruction book, Hal Leonard’s Ukulele Method Book 1. There will also be various handouts each week, so a binder is essential. In November, we will start learning Christmas songs for a concert at the end of the semester. The goal of this class is to have fun while playing the ukulele and sharing the lifelong joy music has brought into my life over the last 45 years.

***Do not buy a ukulele from Amazon without checking with me first***

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
