Writing with Literature
Does your junior high schooler need more writing practice and more exposure to a variety of good literature? In our Wordsmithing class, students will have a chance to read and analyze excerpts of well-known pieces of literature. Using this passage for content, students will then write in paragraph-size chunks, using a variety of expository types. The focus will be on reading, analyzing, and writing.
Note: There will be plenty of opportunities for writing practice beyond what we do in class, but because homeschool students have different needs, homework can be optional for those who are looking for more of a workshop style class.
Required Material: TBD
All classes are full year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
