This course will focus on different world cultures through literature from various regions and groups. As we read these stories, we will analyze the customs, beliefs, and historical events that have caused and resulted from the development of these cultures. We will cover Africa, the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, Central and East Asia, Australia and Oceania, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the US and Canada.
This course can be taken in conjunction with World History, which will emphasize map skills and country locations along with physical geography, ecosystems, climate, major landforms, and bodies of water.
All classes are full year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
