Through lecture, discussion, videos, and fun hands-on activities, this course will explore how the various tissues, organs, and systems integrate to form our amazing human body! From cell theory to genetic theory to germ-vs-terrain theory, we will also evaluate old and new models as they relate to the human organism.

Weekly homework of short readings and review worksheets will reinforce class material. This course will be a strong complement to any biology curriculum, and will introduce some basic chemistry and physics as well.

Please bring a notebook, folder, textbook, and pen/pencil to class.

Required textbook: Help Your Kids With Science: A Unique Step-By-Step Visual Guide (DK Publishing: $10-$20)
