This class will touch on areas in History, English, Math, and Science.  We will take some time to learn about a topic from 1st and 2nd grade curriculum and then get creative with art to further our understanding. We will use coloring, construction paper, glitter, paint, stickers, legos and more.  Some projects can be taken home, some will hang on the wall to display, and some will need to be taken apart at the end of class for others to use such as legos. Google Classroom will be utilized to share pictures from the class as well as to ask for help bringing some supplies if you are available to contribute.  Some projects may take up two class periods or some time at home to finish.  My goal with this class is to increase their excitement level of learning about new subjects and spark a desire to learn/create more at home with their family. Please purchase a blank-page spiral notebook and a glue stick for your student.
 
Please send your child to each class with: 
a blank-page spiral notebook to be used as a lapbook
gluestick with their name on it (which I can keep in the class drawer so they have it in class)
pencil with eraser

The lapbook and Google Classroom will inform you of the topics covered in class and hold some of the art that we create.  This will be a good tool for showing your HST's what your child is working on in our class.  This class will have a TA, Braden- 10th grade- to assist with the learning as well.  We look forward to you joining us!
 
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
