Art history teaches young artists to be creative problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and empathetic individuals. It encourages them to explore the world with curiosity and an open mind, to appreciate the diversity of human experience, and to see the connections between the past and the present.
Through visual storytelling, art conveys complex cultural narratives that might otherwise be lost. Engaging with art and art history can boost self-esteem and confidence as young artists learn to express themselves creatively and develop a sense of accomplishment.
Our class will be based on projects, each inspired by a different artist or style of art. So have your young artist join us in this wonderfully colorful adventure!
Materials: Art clothes, like oversized shirts/T-shirts or aprons (clothes that can get a little paint
on them)
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
