In this class students will be learning essential skills for life in the information age. Students will be learning not only how to make use of their computers, but how to navigate wisely in a sea of information. Skills students will learn include basic computer usage, how to troubleshoot problems, how to safely navigate the internet and web-based tools, as well as computer ethics, media literacy, and more. In order to fully participate in this class, students must have access to a laptop that is able to use the internet. Chromebooks can be used for most things but are not preferred for this class, as they have strict limitations. Please ensure that your student has their laptop with them every week for this class, including the first week.
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
