Creative writing is about so much more than telling a fun story. It’s about connecting with characters. It’s about creating worlds previously unimagined. It’s about exploring the unknown. In my creative class, students will have the opportunity to develop their writing skills and creativity through wild writing prompts and fun group activities!
Throughout the year we will focus on the basic elements of fiction: plot, character, setting, diction, syntax, tone, style, and voice.
Students can expect to write:
Poems
Short Stories
Brief Essays
Children’s Books
And so much more!
This class will challenge what students think writing is all about, while encouraging them to be wild and crazy and have fun with story!
Required Materials:
Notebook dedicated for this class
Pen or pencil for writing in class
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
