Digging into Archaeology
In this class, we will learn about the science of archaeology. Survey sites, analyze artifacts, and get our hands dirty with excavation! Travel back in time and learn about past civilizations!
Archaeology helps us understand ancient people through the items they left behind. From the tallest pyramid to the smallest pottery sherd, past cultures have a lot of knowledge to share! Through analysis, archaeologists can answer the questions they have about the past. Much of what we know about ancient cultures comes from archaeology. Sites such as Pompeii, the Valley of Kings, and Machu Picchu show the accomplishments of their respective civilizations.
