This class introduces students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through creativity, innovation, and real-world application. Using the book How to Be Like Walt Disney, students will explore the mindset, character traits, and business principles that helped Walt Disney succeed. Topics include idea generation, goal setting, problem-solving, basic budgeting, branding, and customer awareness.

Students will develop their own business or product idea and learn how to plan, design, and present it. Lessons will include both discussion and hands-on activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking.

Outcomes:
Students will develop confidence in sharing ideas, think creatively to solve problems, and understand the basic principles of starting and running a business. They will practice responsibility, collaboration, and follow-through as they work toward completing and presenting their own business concept.

Class Activities:

  • Brainstorming and idea development activities

  • Creating a simple business plan

  • Designing a product, brand, or service
