Kindergarten

In this two-morning-a-week Kindergarten class, students will learn through a warm, engaging, and interest-driven environment designed to help them feel confident, capable, and excited about learning. Instruction is built around student curiosity and natural interests such as animals, space, superheroes, Legos, and nature, which are woven into lessons across subjects.
 
Students will explore early literacy and math concepts through stories, hands-on activities, movement, games, and playful learning experiences. Science and nature topics may include plants, seasons, butterflies, and bees, while art activities will encourage creativity, individuality, and self-expression. The class also emphasizes kindness, friendship, and thoughtful interaction with others.
 
Throughout the year, students may be introduced to live classroom animals such as a bunny, parakeets, or a tortoise to support observation skills and hands-on learning experiences.
 
Outcomes:
By the end of the course, students will develop early academic readiness in literacy, math, and science while also building confidence, curiosity, and social-emotional skills. Students are expected to participate in activities, practice kindness toward classmates, and engage in learning at their own developmental pace.
 
Class Activities:
Hands-on learning activities, story time, early math and literacy games, science exploration, art projects, movement-based learning, and group activities focused on social development.
 
Materials: 
Students will need a 1” binder (any color) with a clear front cover for collecting classwork and projects throughout the year.
 
Students will also need:
• Backpack (must be large enough to easily fit their binder)
• Water bottle
• Lunch

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
