Literature Lounge

This class explores literature through thoughtful reading, discussion, and creative exploration. Students will read a variety of engaging and age-appropriate texts, with book selections chosen collaboratively from a curated list based on student interest. Possible titles may include Wonder by R.J. Palacio, Eragon by Christopher Paolini, and Life of Pi by Yann Martel. With guided instruction, students will analyze themes, characters, and literary elements while making meaningful connections to real-world ideas.

Outcomes:
By the end of the course, students will be able to thoughtfully engage with literature, participate in meaningful discussions, and express their understanding through both written and creative responses. Students will strengthen critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills while learning to respectfully share and consider different perspectives.

Class Activities:
Reading assignments, group discussions, written responses, creative projects, and occasional presentations based on the texts studied.

Materials:
All materials will be provided.

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
