Sleuths Wanted: Apply Within
 
We’re the Math Detective Agency, where the clues are math problems, and every mystery has a solution. We’re open for recruits, and you seem like just who we’re looking for. If you’ve got a brain and want to use it, we want you!
Some Concepts Covered: Place Value; Multi-Digit Addition and Subtraction; Multiplication Tables and Long Division; Angles, Area, Perimeter, and Volume
 
Outcomes:
This class is designed to help students master grade-level concepts and continue to gain skills, recognize real-world applications, and foster a more positive attitude toward learning math.
 
Class Activities:
Students will work individually and in small groups to investigate an assigned set of clues (math problems), which will help our class solve the weekly mystery. No homework will be assigned, but completed worksheets may be sent home to highlight concepts that have been covered. There will also be optional “Cold Case” worksheets available for students to solve on their own.
 
Materials:
No required supplies, but students may bring graph paper and a pencil they are comfortable using.

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
