Math Detectives (K-2nd)
 
Come Join our Math Detective Agency!
 
We are on the lookout for detectives ages 4-8 who can help us solve some tricky math mysteries. From counting and shapes to fractions, telling time, and making graphs, we’ll use all our math skills and our wits to bring those math villains to justice.
 
Outcomes:
This class is designed to help students master grade-level concepts and continue to gain skills, recognize real-world applications, and foster a positive attitude toward learning math.
 
Type of work:
Students will work individually and in small groups to investigate sets of clues (math problems), which will help our class solve the weekly mystery. No homework will be assigned, but completed worksheets may be sent home to highlight concepts that have been covered. There will also be optional “Cold Case” worksheets available for students to solve on their own.
 
Supplies:
Students may bring graph paper and a pencil they are comfortable using, but there are no required supplies.

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
