Reading & Writing Adventures
This class helps students grow as both readers and writers through engaging stories and writing activities. Students will explore adventure stories, descriptive writing, poetry, and informational texts. They will learn how to build strong paragraphs, develop vivid characters, and use sensory details to enhance their writing. Weekly reading activities will also focus on improving comprehension and understanding of texts.
Outcomes:
By the end of the course, students will strengthen their reading comprehension, develop clearer and more descriptive writing skills, and gain confidence expressing their ideas. Students are expected to participate actively, complete writing assignments, and engage thoughtfully with reading materials.
Class Activities:
Reading comprehension activities, writing assignments (stories, poetry, and informational pieces), paragraph building, and creative storytelling exercises.
Materials:
All materials will be provided.
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
