Young Biologists

This class is a playful introduction to life science, exploring living things from the smallest insects to the largest whales. Students will learn about mammals, plants, insects, fish, fungi, and more through hands-on activities, games, stories, art, and imaginative exploration. Lessons will range from observing nature outside to exploring ocean life and even imagining life in space, all while building a foundational understanding of biology.

Outcomes:
By the end of the course, students will develop curiosity about the natural world and a basic understanding of living organisms and their characteristics. Students will learn to make simple observations, recognize connections between species, and appreciate the diversity of life. Students are expected to participate actively, ask questions, and engage respectfully in all activities.

Class Activities:
Hands-on science activities, games, storytelling, art projects, guided discussions, and simple observational learning experiences.

Materials:
All materials will be provided.

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
