In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of crochet and weaving, building skills that combine both creativity and tradition. Students will learn basic crochet stitches to create small items like coasters, scarves, or amigurumi (small stuffed figures) as well as learning how to read basic crochet patterns. In weaving, students will explore both traditional and modern approaches using board looms and frame looms to create wall hangings, bookmarks, or textured samples. Students will also learn how to select materials and explore color and texture combinations. This class is perfect for complete beginners as well as those with some experience who want to expand their techniques and try new projects. By the end of the course, each student will complete several projects. All materials are provided, and students are welcome to bring their own yarn or tools if they wish.
