Welcome to the wonderful world of outer space! Learning about space exploration encourages students to discover how Astronomy includes physical and life sciences, history and current events, and how ideas can be turned into reality all driven by the desire to discover.
From explosions on our sun to far away stars; excursions to our moon and the search for signs of life on other moons; spaceship design successes, challenges, and failures and so much more; Space Science! will be an entertaining and educational adventure driven by student questions and curiosity.
Expect an abundance of fantastic stories, puzzling mysteries, and scientific and technological discoveries. This class has no required homework although students will always be encouraged to research topics on their own outside of class and share their discoveries with each other. Together, we will complete monthly in-class worksheet activities to reinforce key concepts and confirm student learning. No additional materials are required.
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
