Principles of Liberty 5th–6th
Join Ms. Jessica for a deep dive into the exciting ideas that shaped our past and continue to guide our future! In this class, students will explore big lessons about freedom, innovation, citizenship, and leadership through the lens of history.
Students will connect themes of liberty, responsibility, and entrepreneurship to the founding of our nation discovering how early explorers, colonists, and revolutionaries helped form America’s identity. We will also explore how ideas of government, trade, and culture influenced societies then and still do today.
Through engaging discussions, creative projects, and real-world problem-solving activities, students will see how lessons from American history can inspire leadership, responsibility, and independent thinking in their own lives.
This class encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking while helping students recognize their place in the larger story of freedom and community.
Learning Highlights:
In-depth discussions and debates on the big ideas of history
Hands-on projects connecting early American ideas to today
