Young Biologists
A playful introduction to the study of life from the tiniest bugs to the biggest whales. From stepping right outside our front doors, to diving to the bottom of the sea, to blasting out in outer space, we will explore the wonderful world of living things!
Outcomes:
Using students’ questions and curiosity as a guide, we will work together to find the answers to the wonderful mysteries of life science and discover the connections between living organisms, what characteristics we share, and what makes different species unique. This class is designed to be a fun and lively introduction to the life sciences, fueling scientific discovery about the way that science shows up all around us.
Class Activities:
Using art, games, jokes, stories, imagination, and hands-on activities, students will learn about mammals, plants, insects, fish, fungi, and more.
Materials:
All materials will be provided.
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
